I know how precious your time is to you. I know that you want to learn how to run your business better. I know that you want to reduce your overwhelm. And I want to come up with ways to help you do each and every one of those things. So, let’s go on a journey together and become better at business
The goal ladies is that 2017 is our best year in business ever. In 2017 you will scale up your entrepreurial skills. You will fine tune your processes, create better systems, talk a better talk and walk a better walk. You will make more profit, meet more people, and have more fun! Oh- and so will I. Let’s do this together. It starts here. Through this community we have a golden opportunity to create a platform that delivers these things. The starting point may be small (I am but one woman) but with your help I know we can develop this into something truly special. To begin I want to make clear that the focus of everything I do will be to help you achieve these goals. I want to deliver as much bang for as little buck as possible, and all in a no nonsense, practical and easy to digest way. Here are some of the ways that you will be able to access help through The WE Network and start your 2017 with a bang: 1. The WE Blog This blog exists to provide you with tailored, step by step info that is relevant to your learning needs at the moment. It is split into three areas for your convenience and I suggest you stick to the relevant posts and stay focussed! Stage 1- Planning These posts are for you if you are thinking about starting a business, researching ideas, preparing for a business launch or reflecting on your goals for the period ahead. As an example topics could include: – creating a strong life and business vision – goal setting – crafting your income model – understanding financials – developing your business values – idea validation – customer analysis and profiling – market research – competitor analysis – mindset – setting up operational systems and processes – identifing key players to help you succeed – developing your business strategy Stage 2- Growing These posts are for you if your business foundations are good (read this post for info on how to develop strong foundations) and you are ready to start building your audience and getting the word out about your business. Topics could include: – developing your marketing plan – building an audience – crafting a customer experience – copywriting – digital maketing – networking skills – partnership marketing – using influencers Stage 3- Scaling These posts are for you if- you are growing a team, you are expanding your business, or you are working on your exit strategy. Topics could include: – HR strategies – employee retention – outsourcing vs in house – choosing outsourcers or service provider – creating living operational documents – budgeting for growth – removing yourself from the day to day running of the business – exit strategies See what we’re doing here? Let’s simplify this business gig. Let’s narrow down our focus to what we need to be doing right now, and forget everything else. 2. Business Bootcamps You can read more about the features of the WE Members Club here, but I want to discuss with you how our Business Bootcamps will help you develop your business know how. Each month we’ll be having a Business Bootcamp focussing on developing one area of your entrepreneurial skills. From mindset to developing your strategy, from content creation to expanding your team, we will cover it. Business Bootcamps will be a mixture of short recorded expert interviews that have one simple goal- teach you a new skill in as little time as possible! Each interview will be accompanied by a workbook and a follow up live Q and A session where you can get your questions answered by the pros. We will only be doing one of these bootcamps a month for a reason. You have a lot to focus on already and we don’t want to cause overwhelm! So we are going back to keeping things simple with this, and we can develop it together over time however we best see fit. 3. The WE Private Members Group and Local Meetups I know sometimes you just need a question answered fast. Our private Members Community is the best way to do this. Post your question to the group and you’ll have an answer from someone who has been there, done that- or an industry expert- faster than you know it. To cement the great stuff that goes on in here we’ll be launching a FAQ resource library packed with the best member generated content and answers over time. So you will have access to an amazing resource of practical, useful day to day business tips at your leisure. Finally, we also have plans of course to start connecting more offline. Both through connecting you to the amazing events that are already available throughout NZ for women in business, and through our own local groups. I’m so looking forward to crafting this experience with you. The aim of these groups is to share knowledge in person and simply develop the caring, encouraging relationships we are already making online. It is going to be amazing and great fun! As I’ve said this is just the start for WE. And thank you for being a part of the journey with me! ••••••••••••••• GIVEAWAY! •••••••••••••••••• Do you want to be in to win FREE membership for 12 months to the The WE Members Club? I love the idea of the 3 stages of business blogs! Very helpful to have everything in one place for each stage.

Hi Melanie great to hear you like the concept! I’ve designed it so there’s no overwhelm- just one topic a month, and in 12 months time we’ll all have much broader foundational business skills. Which is great because I think if you try and do everything at once you just end up doing… nothing! x

I love your plans forward! The business bootcamp is a great idea, I agree local time zones will be a nice change of pace. A focus on action taking and accountability and smaller meetups suit me. Plus some sort of ‘pay it forward’ where we can help out others in the group as a way of giving and receiving feedback.

Hi Lori thanks for the comment, agree with everything you've said! It's so nice to meet in smaller groups sometimes, the catch up we had this week was so much fun.

I’m really excited about the potential local meet ups and connecting with women in New Zealand who are in the same online sphere that’s so US-centric. Let’s bring our Kiwi talents to the world!
